[The sound of his footsteps alone were enough to alert LB of Alex's presence. It sounded a little ridiculous on paper, but there were certain intricacies to footsteps -- the volume of the weight, the timing, the pattern of it all -- that made it one of the most difficult parts of mimicking a person, since she typically wasn't around a person long enough to get their jive down perfectly. However, being around Alex enough, the particular sound of his soles hitting the floor was enough to get her excited. Nervous, but excited nevertheless.
