Alex is probably busy getting chewed on by monsters or something.
Leave him a message after the beep and hopefully he can get back to you.

[Nothing too bad, anyway, but he's not gonna bother poor Murphy with any sad details. The guy's already going out of his way to check on him. He's better than a few weeks ago—that's something, right?]
Just—worried about what the hell's going on. In the pod room.
[voice]
I noticed that. Didn't see any of you guys in there, but I wanted to make sure...
[Because even if Alex or Heather or Anne weren't asleep in those pods, that doesn't mean something else couldn't have happened to them.
[Who's the biggest little worrywart spacedad? Murphyyy!]
[voice]
Sorry. Should've checked in.
['It's been a tough few weeks.'
He almost says it, but bites it back last moment.]
Everyone's saying they're okay—there's nothing wrong with 'em, but I still can't help but wonder why they short-circuited with the network... Maybe it's got something to do with how the whole ship freaked out a while ago? When the masks first showed up.
[voice]
It's fine. What d'you think I'm doin' right now?
[Checking up on you assholes, that's what.]
What, you mean the standby...? [He pauses.] Yeah, I can see how that probably looks right now. People aren't wakin' up and I wonder if we weren't supposed to, either.
[voice]
[You were practically asking for a sarcastic remark to that first question.
At any rate-]
It's just our luck to wake up when we're supposed to be out. Hopefully it didn't ruin our chances of getting back into our pods...
[voice]
[Well, Murphy's just going to make a sarcastic remark to your sarcastic remark.
[So there.
[...And what Alex just said really doesn't help to set Murphy at ease.] Shit, I... hadn't really thought about that, but... Might be worth checkin' up on before the next jump.
[voice]
Yeah, a check-up would be good. Especially since the network isn't working, so talking about it is a lot harder than usual. How do you think we could see if it's working...?
[voice]
Dunno. Maybe somebody on the medical staff would know. What's left of 'em, I guess.
[Shit, he doesn't know who all is asleep and who is still out and about.]
[voice]
[Damn.]
Well, I'll bring it up to the security staff, see what they think, too. They'll be pretty interested in figuring out whether or not we're just as trapped as the people in the pods.
[only we'll be way more dead, if it's that case.]
[voice]
[With Heather saying how they were all tied up over in agriculture, Murphy just felt it safe to assume.]
Sure. Good idea. Not sure what can be done 'bout it, but it's better than just waitin' and hope for the best. [Because, in Murphy experience, that option almost never works out.]

[voice]
Let me know if you come across anything? Or let Anne know. SEC's been on edge for a while thanks to this network and pod thing.
[voice]
...
Take care of yourself, man.
["BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T SO HELP ME GOD..."]
[voice]
[Besides, you've been hurt more than him.
Surely that scoreboard will not change anytime soon.

[NOT HERE]
[voice]
Sure.
[voice]
Don't go getting harmed bodily just 'cus you wander into a kitchen.
